Last night 9/4/09, the CR Spirits pro team celebrated the end of their 2009 season with a party at Dublin City.
They were gracious enough to let me attend and film all the festivities. Hopefully this past year has shown them that even though I’m constantly filming them they can trust that I have their best interests at heart. Although I still notice that whenever something very funny happens, they glance at the camera to see where it’s pointing. 
But, we’re getting there.
The End of Season party shows better than almost anything else how close knit this group is. They truly go beyond being just a dance team. There were plenty of hugs, a few tears and an incredible amount of laughter. Not to mention probably thousands of pictures taken. All I can say is thank goodness for digital cameras cause if they were shooting on film, I would make sure I had a lot of stock in Kodak!
Looking over the footage I think I really captured a bit of who the Spirits are. I think once you see the footage you’ll agree as well, there’s more to the Spirits than dancing.
Tryouts are coming up in a couple weeks and soon the Spirits will start a new season. I’ll be there to capture it all as I continue to put the story of the CR Spirits together. The more time I spend with them, the more the story evolves. Like a diamond, the Spirits have many facets. Choosing which ones to focus on will be quite a task.
